Rosary Series #15 – The Assumption of Mary

 

Mary is assumed into heaven accompanied by angels.

 

 

 

. In Canticles and Apocalypse, the bride-figure always symbolizes the Church of Christ - his bride. Passages from both books have often been applied to the Blessed Virgin. Thus, it is very much in accordance with long-standing tradition to apply them to the Mysteries of the Assumption and Coronation of the Mother of God.
Song of Songs: 8:5 "Who is this coming up from the desert, leaning upon her lover?" 6:10 " Who is this that comess forth like the dawn, as beautiful as the moon, as resplendent as the sun, as awe-inspiring as bannered troops?"
